Louder Than Quiet Examines Racial Injustice in New Music Video

Maryland quintet Louder Than Quiet has released a new music video for their single “Gypsies R Us”. The band marries elements of post hardcore and death metal in the new video which depicts an issue many are familiar with; racial injustice. The lyrics for the track were inspired by a time where vocalist Ali Rezghi’s mother was judged for her economic status (peers referred to her as a “gypsy” when the family lost their home).

The track seemed to really resonate with tons people when we first previewed it on our warped tour contest profile,” says Rezghi. “When we started coming up with ideas for the video, we decided it should be something we dedicate to the fans and to anyone who knows how it feels to be judged.

“Gypsies R Us” was shot by Scott Hansen of Digital Thunderdome and will be on Louder Than Quiet’s upcoming EP that is slated for release on the anniversary of the Michael Brown shooting. Purchase the single here.

About Louder Than Quiet:
Louder Than Quiet is a Maryland based Melodic Death Metal/Post-Hardcore band that is beginning to gain momentum and make some significant noise in the music world. Formed in the fall of 2010 by five African American males. The band consists of Urico (vocals), Domo (bass), Anthony “Airospace” (drums), Danny (lead guitar), and Alireza (guitar and vocals). With amazing persistence and polished stage presence well beyond their age LTQ was able to create a consistent fan base in the Washington D.C. area, a city mostly known for punk/hardcore or GoGo.

Hungry for more recognition and a larger following the group started traveling to Virginia and other cities in Maryland to expand their music empire. The extreme energy and prowess that LTQ displays has not gone unnoticed. It has allowed them to perform as the opening act for several larger groups such as “Thy Art Is Murder, I Wrestled A Bear Once, Dance Gavin Dance and Impending Doom, Fit For a King, In Dying Arms etc.”

Collaborating with the groups Chelsea Grin and Wretched on their first EP has improved the groups credibility and songwriting in the Metal arena, which the group hopes to translate into more fans when they finish their first full length LP recorded by Jamie King (Between the buried and me, A Skylit drive, For Today, Motionless in White). LTQ hopes their music will bridge the gap between the Post Hardcore and Death Metal genres, with a new sound, a solid drive, and unyielding tenacity.
