SALT ASHES Premieres “Save It” on Idolator… Debut album out in July!

Brighton-based songstress SALT ASHES, aka Veiga Sanchez, has partnered with Idolator to premiere her new dark-synth pop single, “Save It” which they call a “firecracker”, saying she “sounds crisper and more focused than ever”. The single is the first off her self-titled debut album, which will be released on July 15, 2016 on Radikal Records.

“‘Save it’ is about fighting for a love that others don’t approve of but it’s so etched into your skin and soul that you can’t think or do anything else,” Salt Ashes tells Idolator. “I co-wrote the song with Rob Irving (House of Emeralds) within a couple of really chilled sessions, and the first thing we created was the baseline, which we fell in love with. After that, the lyrics and everything else flew out pretty quickly.”

“Save It” is available now along with additional remixes, including remixes from Cruelty, Italian Disco Mafia, Giuseppe D.,  Funky Junction and more. The single is available for digital purchase on Bandcamp, Beatport, and iTunes. It is also available for streaming on SoundCloud and Spotify.

For fans of Kylie Minogue, Tove Lo, Grimes, and Lykkie Li, her self-titled debut album, produced by Daniel Fridholm (AKA Cruelty) and Rob Irving, bursts into the dance and pop music scene with her signature blend of darks lyrics and melodies, complimented by a zeitgeist club sound, all inspired by Italian producer/songwriter Giorgio Moroder’s unique blend of disco and epic dark atmospheres.

“I’m very excited to be able to share my debut album with everyone this summer,” Salt Ashes notes. “The songs are like a magnifying glass into the past five years of my life so I’m hoping people will enjoy getting to know me and my mind a little better.”

In 2014, Radikal Records released singles “Somebody” and “If You Let Me Go,” where both tracks climbed the charts, earning a Top 5 spot on both Billboard and Music Week dance charts. She won MTV IGGY’s ‘Artist of the Week’ for her track “If You Let Me Go.” In 2015, the singer also contributed her writing and vocal talents on label-mate (and star of HBO’s hit series Game of ThronesKristian Nairn’s single entitled “4Love,” and rising producer CRUELS’ single “Give It Up,”both of which received massive support worldwide.
