“If you’re a Zep head it’ll be right up your street” Mike Joyce (The Smiths)
Essex boys Electric Child House deliver an adrenaline shot of a ballsy, psychedelic debauchery. A hybrid of Led Zeppelin and Jane’s Addiction size and proportions, complete with Screamadelica-esque backing vocals, their new single ‘False Widow’ builds on apprehension and doubt.
Riding a sleazy bass line, the meandering croon from Matthew Hookings plays on this anxiety throughout the verse until the guitars burst into a super-sonic wall of colour, euphoria and ecstasy for the chorus.
“Electric Child House are the perfect exponent of modern day psychedelia” Gary Powell (The Libertines)
‘False Widow’ is out on April 29th. It’s taken from their latest ‘Goochie Goochie Goo’ EP which is out now via The Label White Room.
