As the heat begins to build for the release of its genre-busting new album ZOETIC on February 26, 2016, THE ROCKET SUMMER is adding more fuel to the blaze by announcing The Zoetic Tour. Kicking off in Houston, TX on March 11th and circling around the US, the band will be hitting over 30 markets including Nashville’s Exit/in on March 18th, New York City’s Marlin Room @ Webster Hall on March 26th, Los Angeles’ Troubadour on April 12th and San Francisco’s Bottom of the Hill on May 19th (full tour dates below). Supporting the tour on the first half of the tour will be FARRO, the new project by ex-Paramore guitarist Josh Farro.
Zoetic is The Rocket Summer most ground-breaking album, marking an unmistakably fresh and forward-thinking new musical direction. His first single “Same Air” premiered last Fall on Diffuser.fm who wrote that it “simultaneously evokes Foster The People and Justin Timberlake”. The video to the “upbeat, guitar-driven song” co-starred New Girl star Hannah Simone (“Cece”) and was premiered by Idolator. Their second single “Help Me Out” premiered last week on Alternative Press, who pointed out his “different sound taps into a realm of honesty and inspiration that, according to Avary, has no rules or boundaries and is unlike any other record he has ever created.” Infectious Magazine proclaims, “Avary unleashes three year’s worth of stored energy by blending menacing subject matter with slick guitar grooves” while the print edition of Alternative Press gives the album 4.5 stars (out of 5), saying “Zoetic is not an average, everyday ‘love’ album; it’s a ‘life’ album that evokes a sense of urgency not only to live but to live inspired.”
