Indie jazz album- “Songs for a Ladies’ Man” now on iTunes.

“Eva Schubert is a singer and songwriter based in Vancouver, Canada. Inspired by jazz greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and Nina Simone, blues icons like Etta James, and — perhaps improbably — Leonard Cohen, she writes in a diverse range of styles. “Songs for a Ladies’ Man” is her first album, full of songs with a classic jazz appeal. From the romantic arrangements on ballads like “Unpredictable”, to the samba beat on “Curtains”, there are plenty of surprises, alongside the traditionally jazzy sounds of saxophone and trumpet that run through other tracks, with strong piano throughout. The ten track, all original album has a narrative arc, around the ladies’ man of the title. There’s something for every jazz lover here.”
