Save Our Planet with King Complex’s Dynamic Track “Made In America”

The wickedly talented multi-instrumentalist, singer/songwriter and electronic project King Complex made his debut into the eclectic indie music scene with the mind-bending single “Made In America,” which dropped via Noble Steed Music this fall. Today, the prodigy behind King Complex, has partnered with Cadence and Cause to launch a campaign to Save Our Planet by purchasing the track through the platform, which can be picked up here. Sales of the track will go directly towards planting trees in American forests. Here is what Bracher Brown, the lone entity behind King Complex had to say about why he chose to partner with Cadence and Cause for the season:

“We’re almost at a breaking point in terms of doing irreparable damage to our home. Planting trees in an effort to reverse the effects of deforestation is just a small step in rejuvenating the earth and supporting a more mutually beneficial relationship with the environment.” – Bracher Brown, King Complex

King Complex is an intrepid project that recontextualizes organic instrumentation and pop compositional approaches with the daring innovations currently happening in electronic music, including adventurous arrangements, bold textures, and rugged beats. King Complex’s first single, “Made In America,” examines the deification of criminals by the media through exploring how often in pop culture criminals and rock stars vie for the same cover story real estate. The scathing lyrical statement goes down easy, offset by raw beats, filthy ambience, hooky glam-rock guitars, ominously soulful vocal refrains, and gorgeous soaring lead vocals.

Head over to Cadence and Cause to Save Our Planet with King Complex and grab your copy of “Made In America.” King Complex is set to drop his latest single, “Medication” in January. Follow King Complex online to keep up with new music and more.

More About King Complex:
Paul McCartney has been the conduit for many epiphanies, but it wasn’t an actual McCartney live music performance that changed the life of one prodigiously talented young artist. While at Bonnaroo 2013, our protagonist, B, waited in line nine hours to watch Macca’s set, and, during this time, he heard another kid gush nonstop about electronic artist Pretty Lights, who was also on the Bonnaroo bill. It would be seeing the Pretty Lights show that night, and realizing the boundless creativity in electronic music, that reawakened B’s musicality.

At the time, B was a gifted singer-songwriter feeling a bit lost with the linear classic blues-rock context he had been working in. After that fateful night at Bonnaroo, his music would never been the same. Now, he announces the majestic music outlet King Complex, an intrepid project that recontextualizes organic instrumentation and pop compositional approaches with the daring innovations currently happening in electronic music, including adventurous arrangements, bold textures, and rugged beats. King Complex’s debut single, the swaggering “Made In America,” was released Fall 2015.

“For a few years, I stepped away from music, but that night I had my mind blown. I came home and immediately began writing and tinkering with technology nonstop,” B confides.

King Complex rose humbly in B’s bedroom where, enraptured by the pure joy of creative discovery, he taught himself how to build tracks. It took over a year for B to merge his programming skills with his prowess as a multi-instrumentalist and a singer-songwriter. “It had to be a natural mix,” he allows. “What I do is definitely rooted in classic rock-that’s how I play-but this new music embraces the vast soundscapes technology offers forth.”

Lyrically, King Complex puts forth a narrator frustrated with the system as a whole that, through expressing his discontentment, unearths some powerful truths.  “A lot of the songs have clear cut social commentary, and provocative stabs at the media,” B reveals.

Following “Made In America,” King Complex will issue a string of singles with each release functioning as a fresh artistic statement. B is the sole visionary behind King Complex and plans to bring it to life with a freewheeling live band with fluid membership that functions more like an ever evolving artistic dialogue than a standard rock band.

B, creator of King Complex, is currently only 21, but he’s been making music on a professional level for six years. Taking a step back to reflect on his path, he says: “I would be doing this music even if I had no intention of releasing it. It’s the most honest music I’ve done. ”
