Live Music Pioneers nugs.net Launch Streaming Service

nugs.net, the digital music company that invented the authorized live music download world over a decade ago, launched their first subscription streaming service today. The service launched with 10,000 professionally recorded concerts. Dedicated live music fans will now be able to flock to the latest shows available.

The launch includes a passel of shows from the most recent Halloween — always one of the most anticipated music nights of the year — including sets from Phil Lesh from the Capitol Theater, Umphrey’s McGee from the Riverside Ballroom in Milwaukee, and Widespread Panic from the US Cellular Center in Asheville. There are also more than 50 classic Halloween shows from the vaults.

nugs.net focuses on renowned road warriors who have the most rabid fans, including Pearl Jam, Phil Lesh & Friends, The Black Crowes, The Disco Biscuits, Widespread Panic, Gov’t Mule, moe., Umphrey’s McGee, and Yonder Mountain String Band, among others who will all be part of the nugs.net service at launch and who will add new shows nightly throughout their tours.

The mobile streaming service, eponymously named nugs.net, launched with native iOS and Android apps, which can be accessed at http://nugs.net/app. There is a seven-day free trial for the subscription service, and pricing is $12.99 per month for unlimited access to the app’s catalog of live sets, or $129.99 per year. Non-subscribers can listen to a rotating selection of featured shows, plus a free stream of nugs.net radio, a 24×7 playlist of cherry-picked live tracks from nugs.net’s extensive archives.

For the fan of live music, there’s never been an easier way to have all of your favorite concerts at your fingertips. With the nugs.net app, fans can revisit their favorite performances with ease and keep up with last night’s show.

nugs.net has stayed mostly behind the scenes for the last decade, handling the live music distribution for artists like John Fogerty, Metallica, Phish, Robert Plant, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bruce Springsteen and many others, delivering audio and video downloads, CDs, DVDs, LPs, and pay-per-view webcasts to millions of fans. nugs.net founder Brad Serling hosts a weekly radio show on SiriusXM JamOn featuring the week in live music, cherry picked from the nugs.net catalog. Since launching in 2002, nugs.net has sold over 225 million downloads.
