Music Existence Because of Music, We Exist
I first saw X Ambassadors perform at the end of 2013 at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey when they opened for Jimmy Eat World. I was instantly drawn to Sam Harris’ voice and their high energy performance was so memorable that I followed them since. They’ve been incredibly busy since then. This summer they played several music festivals including Bonnaroo and supported Milky Chance on their summer tour. They also released their debut album VHS on KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records. The single “Renegades” is featured in Jeep’s Renegade campaign and has been on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart for 28 weeks.
Last week the quartet came home and kicked off their fall tour with two sold out shows in New York. Supporting them on this tour are Kevin Garrett and Skylar Grey. The alternative-rock band from Ithaca, NY was greeted by an enthusiastic and adoring crowd last Thursday at Bowery Ballroom. Sam Harris is a remarkable front-man. He works every available inch of the stage and does an incredible job of connecting with the audience, he hung over the edge of the stage several times to literally reach out and touch his fans, locking hands with a lucky few. The crowd sang along beautifully to “Unsteady” and went into a frenzy when they performed “Jungle” even Alicia Keys was in the balcony cheering them on. No one wanted the night to end but everyone went home happy. Make sure to catch them when they play in your town.
