Friday Night Lites Release Exhilarating New Music Video | “Bases Loaded”

The Pop-punk clan, Friday Night Lites are thrilled to release their high-energy new music video, “Bases Loaded” exclusively with Substream Music Magazine! The track, as told by lead singer, Joey Genovese, is a true biographical tale. Genovese woke up on a set of bleachers at a baseball field, confused, and wondering how he got there. With no cell phone and one cigarette left, Genovese knew this was a turning point in his life. He explains, “It’s like a literal analogy. Finding my way home. I put off working on myself for too long. The fine line between life and death is real. Respect that line. You don’t know if you’ll wake up tomorrow or if you’ll know where you are when you do.” This personal tune is a play-on words that many can relate to. At the end of the track with the final line of “Don’t let go” is a personal request to fans that they should never give up, because there is a brighter side. Friday Night Lites believes in the power of music and change and hopes their music will resonate with listeners to make positive steps in life and know they are not alone.

The brand new single is off of their debut EP, Wherever You May Be, a 7-track EP which will be released on Friday, November 20th. The EP paints a picture that no matter the heartache, the difficulty, or the battle, there is not one member of the community that is alone. With the forthcoming EP, Friday Night Lites hopes to encourage individuals that struggle is good and no matter what, if one hits rock bottom there’s always a way out. Produced and Engineered by Kevin Billingslea at Halo Studios, the band hopes to give fans a little something extra that will appeal to their liking. The band had this to say about the forthcoming release:

“The Album has, many relatable “lows” one may have in LIFE, that don’t have the chance to take over completely. I want people to see that “light at the end of the tunnel.” I hate hearing of suicide and overdosing on drugs. Life is so amazing and brilliant without those destructive habits that sometimes take us down and out.”

Consisting of Joey Genovese (vocals), Dan Dunham (drums), Nate Garland (guitar), Matt Fortier (guitar), and Jesse Harbison (bass), the group draws influence from bands such as State Champs, Knuckle Puck, The Wonder Years, and New Found Glory. Friday Night Lites is setting their mark and are ready to make an impact in the scene with their own distinctive spin.
