Collective Soul at the TLA in Philadelphia, PA on 10/14/15

I’ve been a fan of Collective Soul since I was in college but never got the chance to see them live. After this concert, I’m mad that I wasted all that time not seeing them in concert before now. They put on such a great show! As promised, the heavy guitars are back! Their new album is reminiscent of the sound from their first album, including a heavy rock love song that lead singer, Ed Roland, wrote for his wife called “Confession”.

They played a monster 24 song set, stating that they don’t do encores so they can just play more music, and they delivered on that. The show ended with the song “Run” which entailed the band leaving the stage one by one, while Roland continued to play the guitar offstage, leaving the audience to sing the show to an end.

Here are some of the photos that I hope captured the essence and excitement of the show.
