I’ve never had the chance to see O.A.R. (Of a Revolution) live before September 11, 2015, so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. What I witnessed was incredible. O.A.R., armed with a couple extra members for the tour, delivered a high-energy and fun performance in a relatively intimate venue all night long. The eclectic mix of fans sang loudly and passionately to every song, and I don’t think one person sat down during their non-stop two hour performance. All night I had warm feelings of nostalgia mixed with excitement for their newer songs, brought on by the enthusiasm of O.A.R. And speaking of enthusiasm, trumpeter and back up vocalist Jon Lampley was full of it. His bright energy kept a smile on many faces and put my camera on overdrive. The crowd couldn’t help but feel just as good about the music as he did. And not only did O.A.R. bring the energy, they showered their fans with their appreciation. Great music, good vibes and gratitude. Perfect combination for a memorable show.
