With years of writing and releasing music under his belt, Jaeger Wells has mastered the art of bringing acoustically driven pop storylines to life. Wells sings of personal experience and anxieties like a lovechild of Motion City Soundtrack and Ed Sheeran would – tackling heavy subject matter with an upbeat and bright outlook. His songwriting discusses the real life situations of love, loss, and everything in-between with the goal of showing listeners that they’re not alone.
Jaeger emphasizes the idea that giving up isn’t your only option when things don’t go according to plan, and does so successfully through a full-band feel established with help from Vic Chan. That theme of strength shines especially bright in Jaeger’s latest single, “What It Feels Like,” out now.
“I initially wrote this song about one of my friend’s believing their significant other was cheating on them – however I think it grew into something more than that. It is about paranoia and the ever surmounting feeling of anxiety that the worst is always just around the corner.”
Jaeger Wells’ inspiring messages and catchy, melodic lyrics remind us that life throws curveballs, but even if we strike out, we don’t have to quit the game.
