Prince comes in peace. He is one in favor of and rallying strongly for peace. In the wake of the tragic and senseless murders of Freddie Gray and what appears to be the genocide of American Men from African descent (and women, not as popularly mentioned) in the United States of America has sparked the attention of millions of people around the world. Immediate justice is demanded, and a complete overhaul in the Law Enforcement division is well overdue. The people have spoken and Prince is singing their song.
‘Baltimore’ recorded at the Paisley Park Studios, Chanhassen, Minnesota, is an upbeat, electric guitar drenched, soul cry in the music medium. Featuring the sweet vocals of Eryn Allen Kane, Prince, sadly, must resend the same message many civil rights leaders, activist and revolutionaries have had to cry for decades. Loudly and clearly on repeat they sing, “If there ain’t no justice, then there ain’t no peace!”
Prince is one of the most gifted Artist in the world, fulling the promise of his artistry, he easily draws such a wide musical audience demographic to stir the nation. Prince gets the people listening and is influential enough to truly get the people doing something about this ongoing crime. Prince has recently announced that he will be heading a “Rally 4 Peace” Concert in Baltimore at the Royal Farm Arena, Sunday May 10, 2015. Tickets for the Rally went on sale on the 6th of May. Shawn “Jay Z” Carter’s promising music streaming service, Tidal, has also announced they will be streaming the concert live for their users. This is an awesome time to utilize Tidal if you have not thought to do so before.
Take a listen to this beautiful tribute, ‘Baltimore’. The world is listening. Prince, we hear you!
