SunFest 2015 is just around the corner, folks!
In its 33rd year, the festival is expected to run April 29th – May 3rd and will bring South Floridians performances from the likes of Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Pixies, Lenny Kravitz, Wilco and Hozier (among others, of course!). As Florida’s largest waterfront music and art festival, SunFest has attracted more than 175,000 attendees in the past and is surely hoping to surpass those counts during this year’s 5-day affair.
However, the festival isn’t all about music — it also focuses on giving back to the local community. SunFest 365 organizes community projects year-round in order to promote culture, the arts, environment, and youth education, while Helping Neighbors focuses on donating SunFest tickets to local charities, schools and other organizations for distribution to those who otherwise would not be able to attend.
As stated on their site: “Whether restoring housing for low-income families or providing college scholarship money to a musically gifted teen, SunFest is ready to give back.”
This year’s event is sure to bring spectacular performances and 5 days to remember!
