New Power Ranger Spoof Music Video from American Awesome Alliance

Electronicore band American Awesome Alliance has released a new music video for their song “Magnum Cum Latte”.The Power Rangers spoof is complete with a Megazord and oozes nostalgia for any kid who grew up in the 90’s. The song/video also features Matt Mehana of the experimental group I Set My Friends on Fire.

I wanted to be super original,” says vocalist Brannon Centeno. “So, I wrote a song about my ex-girlfriend, haha. The video was months in the making and it took us literally FOREVER to build all of the costumes, buildings, and props; and to work around each member’s hectic schedules.”

Centeno says that during the main filming of the project, the band went three days without sleep. Getting Mehana on board was no easy task, as well. “We hit him up, but he sort of ignored us because he was super busy recording his upcoming album. We’re all huge fans of Matt and ISMFOF, so, when we heard that his pet raccoon had gotten in an accident and needed surgery, we donated to the GoFundMe page he had set up for it. After that, we all started talking on Facebook. Long story short he’s now in our music video. He’s seriously an awesome dude and we all consider him a good friend.”

“Magnum Cum Latte” is from the upcoming debut album, The Mass Extinction of Everything That Was and What Ever Will Be, available summer 2015.
