Since he dropped “i” in September of last year, we haven’t heard much from Kendrick Lamar–but after winning a Grammy for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, he’s given us some more material.
“The Blacker The Berry” could not be more different than the last we’ve heard from Lamar, being racially-charged and extrememly angry and energetic, it’s the polar opposite of his happy anthem “i,” and more like what we’re used to getting from the beloved Compton rapper.
