The Hip Hop world will catch “Jittaz”! Don’t believe me? Take a glance the Puerto Rican, Bronx born and bred rapper Juni -Jittaz. Jittaz is Hip Hop’s newest phenomenon hailing from the Valley (North East Bronx, home of a myriad of Bronx greats, such as the late Big Wolf of the Bad Boy family). In 2007, Jittaz had the opportunity to have one of his songs “The Early Bird” play on Power 105.1 by DJ Will. The single landed him on a college tour to perform beside artist such as Rahzel (One of the original members of The Roots) Wu-Tang Clan, George Clinton and Digable Planets. Hearing Jittaz flow, it isn’t hard to interpret who his musical influences are, often paying homage to Big Punisher, Biggie Smalls, Fat Joe and his greatest mentor, Big Wolf. Wolf, Jittaz’ states, taught him a great deal about the streets and the Entertainment business, “…you can never take anything for granted, nothing.” says Jittaz, condensing the knowledge he obtained from Big Wolf in one phrase. Jittaz is also noted for his anti-violence views. After witnessing a close family member murdered by the NYPD, he takes a strong stand on stopping violence by police in urban communities and strongly advocates for this cause.
In 2010, after being crowned with the win for an open mic event, Jittaz along with members of the ‘Death Valley Squad’ (DVS) released a mixtape entitled, “The Stimulus Package” hosted by the, DJ Kay Slay. Maintaining his momentum and riding the wave of his successful mixtape, Jittaz release “V The New Season Begins” Hosted By DJ Robe Rob, a month later.
In February of 2014, Jittaz released a single called “Bronx N****” which caught the attention and aired on Power 105.1 by DJ Self. The single caught so much attention that it was featured on innumerable mix tapes, blog sites & internet radio. As always , never shying away from his hustle mentality, Jittaz releases the music video for his single, further fueling the demand behind the single. The single had become so popular that is premiered on Ralph McDaniel’s “Video Music Box” and remains in heavy rotation.
Ever consistent, “Rep’n” (From NY) Jittaz’ returns with yet another new single, reminding his audience that New York City style is the key element to the formula that other rappers attempt to deliver. “Rep’n” is currently on the DJ Self app and spinning regularly on Power 105.1, courtesy of DJ Self. Jittaz possesses the necessary in your face flare for his delivery in his single. Preview the video below.
