He may be scared of dentists and the dark, but Vance Joy was definitely not scared of pretty girls during his stop at the Emo’s music venue in Austin, TX. For his second stop during the “Dream Your Life Away Tour”, we experienced VH1’s “2014 You Ought to Know Artist” nominee bring out the hopeless romantics in everyone.
The young Australian artist has been quite the talk since his single “Riptide” hit the radio. And rightfully so, as the song has gone platinum four times in his home country and even ranked within the Top Ten songs all around Europe. The sold out show featured a wide variety of ages all looking forward to an evening of sweet romantic harmonies and tender love songs. Vance Joy provided the perfect balance of mellow and upbeat melodies that kept the crowd’s attention from start to end. Not to mention that special unique sound that makes any soul want to melt with happiness and has the ability to bring a little light to any dark moment.
