Instead of Sleeping released their video for “Speak Into Me” on June 2, 2014. The video features cover model Dessie Mitcheson.
“Speak Into Me was the song we had the most fun writing without a doubt. We went into a rehearsal room while Marc was mixing some of the other tracks. We walked in to the room with a drum beat, piano, and a good bass line. We walked out with the entire song. It was a very pivotal point in writing the record for sure. That being said, we knew it was the one we wanted a video for. It’s fun, it’s sexy, and it’s just got a good cool groove. The video for this was so much fun to be on set for. What felt like 2 hours was actually 10 while making this with our videographer Josh Elsass and his associate, Nathan Osche. It was exciting to make and even more exciting to put it out to the world.” – Instead of Sleeping

The band credits McClusky for refining their musical chops, stating, “We learned more about music and songwriting in the sixteen days that we spent with him in SAE Institute than we ever had in our entire lives. He really challenged us to write outside of our comfort zones. While this was terrifying, going through a creative and musical gauntlet, we came out of it with an album that we couldn’t be more proud of.”
