Today marks the release of Kenna’s brand new, Chad Hugo (Neptunes) produced EP, Land II Air Chronicles II: Imitation is Suicide (Dim Mak). This is the second part of Kenna’s three EP series based on the Ralph Waldo Emerson essay Self-Reliance.
Album art was designed by renowned comic artist and visionary Nathan Cabrera + the first single is the riciulously funky “Relations” (An Ode to You & Me).
Kenna stated, “Music icons like David Byrne and Rick James inspired Imitation is Suicide. I think posing as an ‘original’ without acknowledging your influences is like killing yourself. The chapters and art of this EP speak to those influences all while hopefully dancing between sonics and genres.”
