Emerging Brisbane singer-songwriter Erica Bronwyn chose Easterfest 2013 to launch her much anticipated, independently released debut album, Metamorphosis. Erica signed to Starlight Records on the 4th of June, 2013. Her album will be re-released through Starlight Records from early July starting with her first single Butterfly.
Metamorphosis is enriched by its gestation as Erica’s heritage is rich in creativity and artistry. There are many threads in Erica’s artistic expression. However, it is through the medium of piano and song that her talent finds its greatest expression, beginning at the age of five when Erica composed her first piano pieces. Piano teacher Mrs Kluck – “I remember very well that you had a rare gift of being able to produce beautiful sounds on the piano, things that you didn’t learn from the tutor books, musical sounds that came from the heart.”
Metamorphosis is a collection of original tracks featuring Erica’s unique style, which is garnished with influences of Stacie Orrico, Avril Lavigne, Nelly Furtardo and Alicia Keys. Catchy, easy listening, pop, rock and R&B? Yes, but under girded by something very personal that resonates in the depths of the soul – the naked intimacy of one who has journeyed through adversity.
Erica seeks to encourage and inspire others, making Metamorphosis both a personal celebration and a ministry to all those who take time to hear.
