PWR BTTM’s Emphatically Hilarious Yet Poignant New Video for “Answer My Text” Is Now Out

PWR BTTM has unveiled the music video for “Answer My Text” from forthcoming LP Pageant (May 12, Polyvinyl). Directed by H.S. Naji (who also directed “West Texas” off of ‘Ugly Cherries’), the video sees Liv Bruce bring to life the colorful lyrics of “Answer My Text” as the rage, sadness, and anxiety of a text message relationship takes over with escalating internal and external drama. Bruce, constantly clad in or surrounded by millennial pink, moves from a stylized teen bedroom to more absurd scenarios. Bruce and band mate Ben Hopkins vibrantly bring the internal strife of modern relationships to these vignettes in trademark PWR BTTM fashion.

PWR BTTM’s new record ‘Pageant’ is out May 12 on Polyvinyl. It’s been met with early praise from Billboard, The FADER, Rolling Stone and NPR Music, who called first single “Big Beautiful Day” “louder, more glamorous and deeply personal.”

PWR BTTM also performed at this year’s NPR Music showcase at SXSW 2017 filled with “swagger” and “infectious joy”.

They are on tour in the US and Europe this spring and summer with their remarkable live show which The New York Times dubbed “part theater, park punk, entirely captivating” in a rare live review.

Ben Hopkins identifies as queer and uses they/them/their pronouns. Liv Bruce identifies as queer, non-binary, and transfeminine and uses they/them/their pronouns.
