With all of the new music popping up daily, it’s easy for the more subtle and delicate offerings to slip through the cracks, but we’re hoping to prevent that for this dark little gem from Starbass entitled “Love’s Little Curses.” Evocative of the late 80s and early 90s more subdued Goth and synth-pop sounds (both visually and acoustically), and infused with a modern dreampop sensibility, “Loves Little Curses” is erotic in its throbbing bass but subdued with its minimal instrumentation, and therefor the perfect track to queue between the Halloween party bangers and Holiday season’s frenetic mix of Christmas and uplifting pop. “Love’s Little Curses” is off of Starbass’s upcoming Distant Signals LP (release date TBA).
