Cool new rock music video by Sarantos – “Pain of The Past.”

Sarantos Starts Off The New Year With A Pretty Rad Rock Music Video for “Pain Of The Past”

A car junk yard? Yes, this is the perfect setting for Sarantos new music video for the song Pain Of The Past. As the past simultaneously defines and haunts us this seems like the ideal backdrop for a rock video, doesn’t it? This music video casts Sarantos as someone trying hard to escape his past but always pulled back into it. No matter how far he tries to run away, ultimately there is no escape. Driving endlessly, there is always a return to the reality of an empty fragmented existence. A dead end of street is all that awaits outside the junk yard which foreshadows the past.

“This is a powerful rock song about the past” says Sarantos. “This is about someone who keeps remembering the moments gone by. They remember mistakes of the past. The pain is palpable. Why does the past never goes away? Why is the past here to stay? The past is a powerful vacuum and not easy to forget or escape. It’s always there and a daily reminder of our failures and imperfections. But that’s ok. They too are a part of us. They made us into what we are and we would not be here today without them. Accept the faults of your past and live the present.”

Sarantos won the Akademia LA Music Awards in 2015 for Best Song (What If I Never See You Again), Best Rock Song (Easy To Believe), Best Rock Ballad (The Veteran), Best Rock Music Video (We Accept The Love We Think We Deserve), Best Singer/Songwriter Song (A Mission Of Heart, I Sing), Best Pop Song (I Sing) & Best Pop Rock Album (Not Where I Wanna Be).
