ORDINARY CHILDHOOD is an independent rapper/songwriter from Washington D.C. now living in NORDRHEIN WESTFALEN, Germany. With his style which is a fusion of HIP HOP & REGGAE that is composed of his own recipe of silky smooth vocals, edgy street influenced lyrics, witty word play, and a lexical savoir-faire he is able to quickly grasp the listeners ear. The first single entitled “NO LOVE” from his upcoming album featuring BORN FREE was released and received instant success through out the Dubstep community which landed him interviews and reviews on internet radio and various blog sites.

ORDINARY CHILDHOOD is an independent rapper/songwriter from Washington D.C. now living in NORDRHEIN WESTFALEN, Germany. His style is a fusion of HIP HOP & REGGAE. Coming with his own recipe of silky smooth vocals, edgy street influenced lyrics, witty word play, and a lexical savoir-faire he is able to quickly grasp the listeners ear. As a child, break dancing and graffiti were his favorite past times. Creating his first song at the age of 12 by recording it on a JVC boom box and using the instrumental version of Roxanne’s revenge then distributing it through his neighborhood hand to hand. Living in a section of Northwest Washington D.C. heavily populated with West Indians he became influenced by Dancehall and Reggae artist such as Peter Metro, Half Pint, Ninja man, Eek a mouse, Jacob Miller, YellowMan, FatHead, Gregory Isaacs, Dennis Brown and Bob Marley. His first major success was the release of his mixtape entitled “SERIOUS ISSUE” in December 2005. From 2005 until 2009 releasing freestyles, dubplates and a string of singles such as “Unconditional”, “Love Letter” featuring Kokee, “Life in the Ghetto” featuring Leo Tan, “Let’s Get Closer”, “Never Leave Me” and “Revelations” featuring Mamadee on the “Raod of Life Riddim”. Ordinary Childhood went on to give us his next release entitled “FOR LOVERS ONLY” in 2013 which includes Africa On My Mind and the well liked collaborations with Kefalenia entitled “Together” and “Rise” featuring Leo Tan. Then in August 2013 ORDINARY CHILDHOOD gained a heavy buzz with the release of the LOVE & WAR mixtape which included the song “SAY A PRAYER” featuring LEO TAN produced by DJ LOREST. At the moment ORDINARY CHILDHOOD is working on his highly anticipated album which is due to be released February 2014 but the title has not yet been revealed.
