SAID THE WHALE to open for CAPITAL CITIES

Award Winning Vancouver-based outfit Said The Whale have been selected to open for LA’s electronic-infused pop rock duo Capital Cities at The Grove Summer Concert series this year. The annual event boasts four nights of live performances featuring an array of celebrated musical artists from genres across jazz, country, rock and pop. Past talent that have performed at The Grove Concert Series are Robin Thicke, Gavin Rossdale, Karmin, and Ashanti. This year the free concerts will take place in The Park at The Grove on July 10, July 17, July 24 and July 31, beginning at 7:30 PM.

Said The Whale have achieved tremendous success at radio with their infectiously catchy song “I Love You”, lifted off their recently released EP of the same name, the song has scored adds on Sirius Alt-Nation, Seattle’s KNND, Portland’s KNRK and spins on LA’s KROQ and KYSR amongst others.

Said The Whale are currently touring the US in support of their EP release, they’ll be hitting Denver, Colorado July 12th then Chicago Illinois July 17th and Minneapolis, Minnesota July 18th, with more tour dates to be announced in the coming weeks. Said The Whale are presently putting the final touches on a full-length album, which is due for release this fall.
